Dr. Eric E. Wegener is a board-certified plastic surgeon based in Flowood, Mississippi, with 33 years in practice. He earned his medical degree from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine in 1992, completing his surgical residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, a plastic surgery residency at Summa Health System/NEOMED, and a hand surgery fellowship back at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. He holds the American Board of Plastic Surgery's Certificate of Added Qualification in Hand Surgery and performs the full range of cosmetic, reconstructive, and hand and upper-extremity procedures.
Dr. Wegener has contributed to published research on topics including hand fracture management, internal fixation techniques for the hand and wrist, and reconstructive approaches to severe hand injuries.
